This is how we do it

Okay, so here's how it works folks: To get this started, we will present you with a starting topic and you guys leave your "why" questions in the comment sections. We will take each why question and create a separate post from it allowing others to weigh in on the discussion and ask "why" questions of their own. Be creative and crazy if you want -- you don't have to stay on topic. We encourage out of the box thinking and insane logic. Got it? Good. Let's roll! STARTING TOPIC:
THE ECONOMY AND ITS EFFECTS ON YOUR HAIR

  2. Well. This is embarrassing.

We wait and wait and wait for all of the fun and interesting questions to come in and when we finally do get a post it's "doo doo doodly doo". How disappointing.

Okay, well when life gives you lemons add some vodka and call it a lemondrop I always say.

So although this is not technically a question, I'm going to "answer" it anyway. Mostly because I desperately want to see the comment number change from 1 to 2. Makes me feel successful. (Childhood issues. I'm working through it.)

"doo doodly doo" has several references...

    1) it's an old Scouts song:
    Please sing to me
    that sweet melody
    called the doo, doodly doo
i like so where i ever go
    its the doo doodly doo

    2) it's part of a greeting that was used by old Irish ministers: "pip-pip da doodly-doo"

FINALLY! We have a safe, non-sexual, minister/scout joke to tell: What did the minister say to the boy scout? "doo doodly doo"!

I hope this brought clarity and joy to your life, Anonymous. We are here to help the little people... like you... tiny little anonymous... who pondered the age old issue of "doo doo doodly doo" and came to us for guidance.

No need to thank us. It's just what we do.

  3. Parilyn here. In order to better conform (cause I'm all about conformity) to our structure here (cause I'm all about structure), I'm converting your question into a "Why?" format (cause I'm all about formatting):
So, "Why doo doo doodly doo?" is our question.

Because it is just what happens when you have to go go goadly go. Some things are just integral to our nature. (cause I'm all about the integers)
    1...2...3...
