Welcome!
An age old tale: A Social Worker and a Nihilist fall in love, don't get married and decide to create a blog together. The blog is a cute little thing... all flat and lifeless. We name her "Chasing The Why" and vow to be the best blog parents ever. We invite you on our journey to raise this blog. Watching her grow and explore. Trying desperately to find the answers to all of life's little (and big) questions. Both the simple and the paradoxical. Because all of us, at most times in our lives, are Chasing The Why.

Our philosophy: "What is important is to keep learning, to enjoy challenge, and to tolerate ambiguity. In the end there are no certain answers." -- Martina Horner
This blog is all about fun and educational conversation. Trying to think about things in a different way. Talking outside of the box in an attempt to understand each other and the world around us a little better.

POLICIES:
Commenters: Our only policy is that you stay polite. No nasty posts. If you can’t be civil then go somewhere else. Bring your education and opinion in, but please leave your bigotry and ignorance at the door.

Guest Bloggers: The policy for Commenters apply here as well, but we also have additional policies for our Guest Bloggers:
1) Please stay intelligent. You can be intelligent-funny,
intelligent-angry, intelligent-hippie... it's all okay
here - just remember the "intelligent" part please.
2) If your submission is a complete opinion piece, please let us
know. If it is a piece stating facts, statistics, etc. then please
site where you got your information.
3) Not a policy but a request: Think outside of the box. Be
fabulous, be funky, be fastidious, be funny, be far-out,
be free! (ran out of "f" words, but you get the point) But most of all
be first. Try to be the first one to look at something with
new eyes and a new point of view.
